Method: number of floodlights N = E × A ÷ (UF × MF × Φ), rounded up to a multiple of the number of masts, where E is the target illuminance (lx), A the area (m²), UF the utilisation factor, MF the maintenance factor and Φ the datasheet luminous flux of the selected optic of one ASTRO floodlight (lm). UF 0.45 and MF 0.8 are assumed starting values, not measured values: the real figures depend on pole layout, mounting height, aiming and optics. Change them if you know better.
