Engineering approach
EN 12193 defines illuminance, uniformity and glare rating by sport and competition class (I to III), and adds vertical illuminance where TV coverage is required. We agree the class with you first, then calculate the pitch in DIALux evo, so the result is known before anything is ordered.
Mast position, aiming and beam angle decide whether a pitch is even or patchy. The ASTRO High Power range offers optics from 10° to 40°, so we compare the options against your mast layout and choose the one that reaches the class with the fewest luminaires.
ASTRO High Power is IP66 with IK08 glass and a −40 °C to +50 °C operating range, with ENEC (EN 60598-2-5) or ENEC+ licences on the listed models. Unit weights of 7.4 to 37.4 kg go into our mast-load check, and DALI or 1-10 V control is available where the model lists it.

For football stadiums and multi-sport pitches, the ALKAN® ASTRO range reaches 1500 W and 204,000 lm (ASTRO 3A1500: 136 lm/W, IP66, ENEC+) with 10°, 17°, 25° and 30° optics. We design the lighting to EN 12193 in DIALux evo, check glare and uniformity for the competition class and supply the floodlights. Use the ASTRO selector for a first estimate of the number of floodlights, or send the field dimensions for a calculated layout.
