Engineering & contracting

Engineering and Contracting Services

Electrical design, panel building, automation, HVAC engineering and turnkey installation, with the equipment supplied by Powersense and the engineering done in-house.

01Overview

Supply and engineering from one team

Powersense supplies equipment and provides the engineering around it. Every discipline below follows the same path of requirements, calculation, drawings, build, verification and handover, documented to IEC and EN standards.

03Delivery process

From requirements to handover

  1. 01

    Feasibility and requirements

Technical requirements, applicable standards, constraints and a budget range are defined before design starts.

    DeliverableDesign brief, scope definition
  2. 02

    Calculations and studies

Load, short-circuit, voltage-drop, selectivity and heat-load calculations support each design decision.

    DeliverableCalculation reports
  3. 03

    Design documents

Single-line diagrams, layouts, schematics, specifications and bills of quantities are prepared for approval and tender.

    DeliverableIssued-for-construction drawing set
  4. 04

    Procurement and manufacture

Equipment is selected and supplied and, for panels, built and routine-tested by the same team.

    DeliverableEquipment schedule, test reports
  5. 05

    Installation and commissioning

Installation follows the approved design, and automation is tested before it reaches site.

    DeliverableCommissioning records
  6. 06

    Verification, handover and maintenance

Systems are verified to IEC 60364-6 and handed over with documentation. Maintenance continues under the same responsibility.

    DeliverableAs-built documents, maintenance plan

04Standards

International standards applied

These standards form the technical basis for design and equipment selection. The exact set is confirmed for each project against the national regulations in force.

  • IEC 60364-1Low-voltage electrical installations: fundamental principles, assessment of general characteristics and definitions.
  • IEC 60909-0Short-circuit currents in three-phase AC systems: calculation of initial, peak and breaking currents.
  • IEC 61439-1Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies: general rules and design verification.
  • IEC 60364-6Verification: initial and periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations.
  • IEC 61131-3Programmable controllers: programming languages (ladder, function block, structured text, sequential function chart).
  • EN 16798-1Energy performance of buildings: indoor environmental input parameters for ventilation design.

05Project types

Typical project types

  • Malls and congress centres
  • Hospitals and hotels
  • Business centres and residences
  • Industrial zones and plants
  • Infrastructure and utilities
  • Renovation and modernisation

06Technical notes

Technical notes and FAQ

Do you only engineer, or also supply the equipment?

Both. Most projects combine design with supply of the specified equipment, so the drawings and the delivered equipment match. Engineering-only scopes are also possible.

Which standards apply in Montenegro?

Projects follow IEC and EN standards together with the national regulations in force. The applicable set is confirmed with the authority and the client at project start.
