Why this luminaire

Built for long shifts at height

In a hall or warehouse the luminaire runs through every shift and is rarely within reach. Kataner is a catenary or pendant high bay from 60 to 100 W (8,400–13,000 lm, 130–140 lm/W) weighing only 2.7–2.9 kg, light enough to hang from structural cables. Optics of 30°, 60°, 90° or asymmetric put the light on the aisle or the work surface, and glare is limited to UGR ≤ 20. We check the layout against EN 12464-1 in DIALux evo before you order.

Built for the job

Die-cast aluminium body

The aluminium housing draws heat away from the LEDs, protecting light output and lifetime.

4 mm clear tempered glass

The tempered glass shields the optic and wipes clean, so the hall stays at its designed light level between cleanings.

IP66

Rated IP66 (EN 60529): dust and cleaning water do not reach the LEDs.

IK09 · IK08

Impact resistance to EN 62262: IK09 on the body, IK08 on the glass.

−40 °C to +45 °C

Operating range of −40 °C to +45 °C covers unheated warehouses and warm roof spaces.

184–264 VAC

A wide supply window: 184–264 VAC at 50/60 Hz.

LED lifetime of 60,000 hours reduces the number of interventions at height.

Mounting

Suspended from structural cables or installed as a pendant. Mounting height and spacing follow the EN 12464-1 calculation for the task.

Choosing the optic

Beam options are 30°, 60°, 90° and asymmetric. We compare them in DIALux evo against your geometry and pick the one that reaches the target with the fewest luminaires.

Controls

No dimming interface is specified for this luminaire. If your project needs one, we check the options with the manufacturer before we quote.

Maintenance

Isolate the supply before any work at height, and clean the cover periodically to keep the designed light levels; the calculation already includes a maintenance factor.

CE: the manufacturer’s EC declaration of conformity under Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (January 2025) names the AKATL series.

Can it replace my existing luminaires?

In most retrofit projects, yes. We check the existing mounting points and the target values in a calculation before we quote, so you know the result in advance.

What tolerances apply to these values?

Tolerances: power +5%, luminous flux −10%, efficacy −5%. Our calculations take this into account.
