Karadeniz Slim: sealed light for damp and dusty areas
Karadeniz Slim is a sealed ALKAN® luminaire. It is made for car parks, workshops, technical rooms, stairwells and canopies, where moisture and dust would shorten the life of an open fitting. We plan it to EN 12464-1 in DIALux evo.

Polycarbonate does not corrode, which suits damp and aggressive atmospheres.
The diffuser turns the LED points into an even, softer light surface.

Lighting design criteria
EN 12464-1 sets the minimum average illuminance on the task area for each type of work or room.
An upper limit for discomfort glare from the luminaires, set per task.
Minimum uniformity across the task area and a minimum colour rendering index for each task.
Engineering notes
Keep cable glands and seals tight so that the IP rating is maintained after installation.
Optics and beam angles are defined per variant. We compare them in DIALux evo with your geometry and pick the one that reaches the target with the fewest luminaires.
No dimming interface is specified for this luminaire. If your project needs one, we check the options with the manufacturer before we quote.
Install and connect following the instructions supplied with the luminaire. Clean the cover periodically to keep the designed light levels; the calculation already includes a maintenance factor.
Certification and standards
CE: the manufacturer’s EC declaration of conformity under Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (January 2025) names the AKUTL series.

Can it replace my existing luminaires?
In most retrofit projects, yes. We check the existing mounting points and the target values in a calculation before we quote, so you know the result in advance.
What tolerances apply to these values?
Tolerances: power +5%, luminous flux −10%, efficacy −5%. Our calculations take this into account.

Sealed luminaire with a polycarbonate body and an opal diffuser held by polycarbonate latches. A seamless polyurethane gasket keeps out dust and moisture. Stainless-steel brackets allow surface or cable-tray mounting.
